Day 5 – A free day to explore Cape Town

Today is our last day in Cape Town and also a full free day for you to explore this great city and the many activities on offer such as the Red Bus Hop-on Hop-Off pass or Mount Nelson High Tea. Alternatively you may prefer to shop, explore the city, go on an adventure or simply relax by the pool.

Red Bus Hop-on Hop-Off Pass

This unique sightseeing of Cape Town offers a ‘Hop-On, Hop-Off’ City tour aboard our open top double decker red bus. Our guides will entertain you as you learn more about the history of Cape Town. The tour calls at all the important museums and sights in the inner City, before it makes its way to the lower cableway station. From there the tour travels back down to the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton on its way back to the Waterfront. A comprehensive route map is handed to guests upon boarding the bus.

Mount Nelson High Tea (2.30-5.30pm)

Enjoy delicate finger sandwiches filled with rare roast beef and rocket, smoked salmon, egg mayonnaise or cucumber. Follow with a delectable dark chocolate cake, lemon meringue and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserves. Adding a special local flavour is a typical South African milk tart, called “melktert” in Afrikaans.
The signature Mount Nelson Tea has been expertly blended from six teas: Darjeeling, Kenya, Assam, Keemun, Yun-nan, Ceylon, and rose petals from our garden. In addition, we offer an array of leaf and flowering teas. The Afternoon Tea is served in the lounge, on the terrace or around the garden fountain of the Mount Nelson Hotel.

Enjoy this day at your own leisure. Our expert tour guide will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to suggest the best things to do in Cape Town.
